The 2020 Acura TLX vs The 2020 Lexus ES 350

At Erin Mills Acura, we invite you to browse our new inventory of Acura vehicles to find the car of your dreams. The 2020 TLX is one of the most sought after models on our lot, catering to drivers of all ages. Yet, automotive consumers in and around Mississauga, Brampton, Toronto, and Oakville, often ask us what sets Acura apart from Lexus. While our staff know the differences, we want to explain why the 2020 Lexus ES 350 can't compete with the 2020 Acura TLX.

When you are ready to jump into the latest TLX model and experience exhilaration firsthand, contact us.

Style

While both the TLX and ES 350 offer attractive styling and impressive amenities, the differences between the two are clear.

  • The Lexus ES 350 has standard 17-inch wheels, and you will have to upgrade for larger wheel options. The Acura TLX features 18-inch alloy wheels that perfectly complement the sedan's dynamic styling.
  • Traditional LED headlamps with two light elements are standard on the Lexus 350, and triple-beam LED headlamps are available. Jewel Eye headlights on the TLX boast five LED light elements, providing sharper illumination for increased visibility.
  • The Acura TLX heated front sport seating provides 10-way power-adjustability for the driver with power lumbar. The Lexus ES 350 offers heated front seats at an extra cost.

Performance

The 2020 Acura TLX sedan offers white-knuckle performance that puts it ahead of the Lexus ES 350. TLX comes standard with Agile Handling Assist, and Precision All-Wheel Steer to assist in cornering, while a 9-speed automatic transmission brings a linear throttle retort with no turbo lag.

Active Sound Control on the TLX mitigates engine noise for a quieter ride throughout the vehicle. Compared to the TLX, the Lexus ES 350 does not provide technology to actively disperse noise.

A dramatic A-Spec option is also available for the 2020 TLX, ensuring your ride looks just as powerful as what's under the hood. Performance-driven prompts from the NSX heighten the impact of A-Spec. Eye-catching details include new front lower intakes with smoothed LED fog lights and dark chrome finish trim, round exposed dual exhaust outlets, and a piano-black rear decklid spoiler.

Connectivity and Technology

Seamlessly integrate your compatible iPhone or Android device with the built-in display and controls in the TLX. While Apple CarPlay integration is now standard on the ES 350, Android Auto integration remains unavailable.

Two intuitive touchscreens on the center control panel of the TLX let you simultaneously access climate control, audio, phone, and more. The ES 350's single-screen display limits your ability to manage multiple functions.

The Acura TLX earns a 5-star NHTSA Overall Vehicle Score. Standard on every 2020 Acura TLX model is AcuraWatch technologies. A safety and driver-assistive system that makes the TLX one of the most safety-minded sedans on the road today. Lane Keeping Assist, Collision Mitigation Braking, Road Departure Mitigation, Adaptive Cruise Control, and more, work together to deliver a secure and safe drive.
